Cult Pens
Hello there!
Fountain Pen Day (which was 1st November) elbowed the monthly Cult Pens round-up out of the way, so we're into November already, but with the October review. Confused? Yes, so are we. Anyway, best foot forward and all that.
So what did we get up to last month? Well, it was October, so it was all things ink! We've lots of it, from everyday ink for everyday missives, to sparkly ink for special occasions and invisible ink for secret squirrel stuff (not really).

Kaweco mini foldable ink converter
Great Gatsby ink
Ferris Wheel Press's monthly offering included Ambrosia Indulgence, a warm rose red with a gold shimmer, which clashed nicely with Festival Grove, an acid lime-yellow.
And Montblanc's Great Characters collection continued with an homage to F Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, which includes ink in a shade inspired by 'the green light at the end of Daisy's dock.'
Oh, and there was some ink-ovation from Kaweco! Their ingenious Foldable Ink Converter strikes a blow for shorties everywhere by making bottled ink accessible not just by the normal-sized but by the most diminutive of fountain pens as well.
Deadly Nightshade
LAMY 2000 Pine
BENU Samhain
October spells Halloween as well, of course, and skulls played a significant part in Oc-Cult Pens' celebrations, appearing as they did on the Samhain fountain pen, made for us by BENU, and bobbing around inside our Deadly Nightshade ink!
And we were treated to the rare appearance of a special edition LAMY 2000 - subtle as always, but this time in Pine.
Oh, and the yearly appearance of Graf von Faber-Castell's Pen of the Year. A tribute to the might of the Ottoman Empire, it's studded with no less than 18 beady-eyed rubies!

Sun-Star Cat Eraser
TWSBI Sky Blue Eco
TWSBI pop out new fountain pens on a pretty regular basis, and October saw the launch of the Sky Blue Eco. A demonstrator that holds lots of ink - so you can make the most of the colour you choose as well as see what's going on - all for under £40.
If you're a notebook nerd, LEUCHTTURM1917 introduced four new colours in October. Three are most definitely autumnal: Dusty Rose, Spice Brown and Deep Sea, while the fourth - Spring Leaf - is either late to the party or Antipodean.
Not strictly an October acquisition because we got them in August, but they're going to get a mention anyway because there was a bit of a frenzy and they sold out. And now they're back (from outer space) and deserve a shout-out. It's the Cat Eraser from Sun-Star. £3.70 for a bit of daily entertainment.

And we have to mention Christmas (yes we do. Sorry). Legami are limbering up for festive frivolity with their set of 3 Naughty or Nice erasable pens, and our cracking Crackers will make you the envy of everybody around your turkey- and sprout-laden table because they're filled with really useful (instead of really naff) things.
