[Legendary Scary Stories To Share Wherever You Dare] [A Head-Turning Encounter] It was close to midnight when the man finished up a late-night visit at his friend’s cabin and headed back to his campsite. The air was crisp, and the woods were unsettlingly quiet as he walked down the narrow trail. As he rounded a bend, he spotted someone ahead—a woman, bundled up and carrying a basket draped with a white cloth. The sight was odd this late, but the man, being friendly, called out, “Hey there! What brings you out here so late?” No response. Trying again, he offered, “Need some help with that basket?” Without a word, the woman handed it over. As soon as he took hold of it, a small voice whispered from under the cloth, “That’s very nice of you.” Then, out of nowhere, came a chilling, wild laugh. Startled, the man dropped the basket. The cloth slipped off, and rolling out onto the trail… was a woman’s head, staring right up at him. Frozen in place, he gawked at the head, then at the figure. “It’s her head!” he gasped. In pure panic, he spun around and bolted down the trail. The head came after him. It shot up into the air and sank its teeth into his leg. Yelling in pain, he sprinted faster, but the woman and her floating head stayed right behind. The head leaped again, biting into his other leg before both the woman and the head disappeared into the darkness as quickly as they’d appeared. Breathless and shaken, the man finally reached his camp, collapsing by the fire. He could barely catch his breath as he muttered, “You won’t believe what just happened...” [A Head-Turning Encounter...] It was close to midnight when the man finished up a late-night visit at his friend’s cabin and headed back to his campsite.
