We did a little research and found out how that could happen. Not only does it come from up to 40 year old vines, but the vineyards are located in the Mâconnais in the south of Burgundy, where the grapes enjoy a warm and sunny climate. Pressing and settling is done directly by the most experienced vine growers and only the best musts are then blended to craft this powerful, elegant and fresh cuvée. Fermentation takes place in oak where the wine is aged a further 10 months in French oak (25% new) with regular lees stirring to gain richness and roundness.
