Crabtree & Evelyn, who used its fragrance in their range of rose perfumes. Evelyn has a strong scent that is similar to old rose but with a hint of fruit, evocative of fresh peaches and apricots.
An enchanting, must-have rose, Evelyn is a good garden performer that begins flowering in late spring or early summer and flushes through late fall. Its bountiful blooms, borne in clusters on long canes, are particularly large and very full, with 100 beautifully arranged petals in a soft apricot color, which is sometimes tinged with soft pink but is stunning in all stages. They make lovely cut flowers for kitchen table bouquets. The large shrub reaches a mature height of about 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide, perfect for the back of a bed or mixed border.
