Sitting privately behind these red oaks is the house that Virginia and I have called home for 30 years. When we bought it is was a tired 1964 farmhouse on 5 acres near Tualatin, Oregon.
Over the years we added to and remodeled it. This is where we raised and home schooled Mitchell and Evan. It is a homestead we shared with Virginia's father, Bob, and where our daughter Brittany and her family lived for over four years.
From the buildings on the property we ran VJ Books, and the property was our inspiration for Norwood Press. Two years ago we moved VJ Books to a commercial building as we prepared for retirement.
Today, Virginia and I signed the closing documents selling our Norwood home. It is a very emotional time as we say goodbye.
Saying goodbye isn’t easy, but it's a necessary part of the journey. Here’s to new adventures!
