What Makes a Product "Organic"?

The OMRI, or Organic Materials Review Institute, sets the standard for organic certification and companies must meet these so that their products can be OMRI listed. Some of these standards include; growing without the use of genetically modified plants, no use of hormones or antibiotics, and more.
If you're just growing a few vegetables for yourself, you don't necessarily need to meet these organic standards–unless it's something that matters to you personally.

How to Control Garden Pests, Organically!

Please note! Always do your due diligence into the types of plants you're growing, how you're growing them, and other potential factors that could be at play before trying something new in your grow. By narrowing down these factors, you can more effectively choose what will work best for you.
The key to organic pest control is finding the natural opposite to the problem you're facing in your garden. Some of the most common types include floating row covers, beneficial nematodes, pheromones or sticky traps, diatomaceous earth, and more. But the most effective pest control is preventing them in the first place, this can be achieved using an integrated pest management strategy.
