Our Seconds look just a little different than the pieces in our "firsts" inventory that you're used to shopping. That's why we mark them down up to 45% off so we can still send them away to good homes. They are each beautiful in their own way, even if they don't look exactly like the photo model of their shape and color.
A Second is a piece of our handmade pottery that is fully functional, not broken or cracked, but turned out to have an aesthetic variation that wasn't planned. Seconds include:a matte glaze that turned out glossy
a swirl of unmixed pigment up the side of a bowl
a mug who ended up thicker than its neighbors
a bit of the glaze color missing from the lip of a serving dish
Seconds are always food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.What is a Second?
