Sleep Hack of the Week
No Caffeine After 2pm!
Caffeine, the dreaded enemy of sleep!
For most of us, caffeine is what we use to wake up in the mornings. It goes without saying, then, that it’s wake-up energy juice and not a sleepy drink!
Caffeine binds to certain cells that induce sleepiness and makes them stop functioning. When your body realizes that unusual activity is occuring, it assumes an emergency must be happening and releases adrenaline, making you even more alert and perhaps jittery.
If you drink coffee throughout your day without thinking, you may need to put some effort into this one. Stopping your caffeine intake by 2pm allows your body enough time to work it out of your system.
Give it a try - you’ll be surprised at how much better you sleep!
