Coming from humble roots on his family's peanut farm, he forged his own path to the White House as our 39th president, and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. He stood by his convictions, putting hammer to nail in support of Habitat for Humanity well into his 90s, and was a staunch supporter of civil rights and environmental protection.
