Can I tell you my story?

q, you probably know I love acting — 

But my biggest passion has always been dogs. 

I’ve actually got 6 dogs (and counting) at home right now, and I would do anything to keep them healthy and happy. 

And as the cofounders of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, my mom Nancy and I are committed to making a difference for the abandoned, abused and neglected companion animals in our country.

And over the last 12 years, we’re proud to have helped place over 16,000 dogs into loving homes.

But you may be wondering:

How did I become interested in holistic nutrition?

Well, this story actually starts back when I was 16… when my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.

As you can imagine, we were terrified at first. 

It didn’t help that some of the doctors she consulted just weren’t seeing eye to eye with her. They were focused only on chemotherapy, which as you probably know can be devastating for our bodies.

So my mother made the choice to utilize naturopathic remedies as well as chemotherapy. 

That’s basically the science of using natural foods — such as herbs, superfoods, and powerful healing extracts — to help the body heal itself.

And what happened?

Using holistic methods combined with modern techniques, my mom made a COMPLETE recovery.

In the years since — and especially since I became a mom myself — I’ve made natural herbs and foods a focus not just of my own health, but my family’s too.
