Bred by Jackson and Perkins and introduced in 2006 as part of the Garden Treats series, Snowcone Shrub Rose buries its dark green foliage beneath a blanket of dainty single blooms as sweet and snowy as the name implies.
The cone-shaped, hydrangea-like clusters of fragrant white flowers have a silvery sheen and gold stamens. They open from pointed, ovoid buds and arrive in flushes over an exceptionally long season, from late spring until frost nips them back in fall.
Naturally low growing, Snowcone Shrub Rose stays broad and under 2 feet tall, making it a great screen for "leggy" plants or the front of a border. Very vigorous and disease resistant, this healthy, low-maintenance rose is appreciated as much for its garden performance as it is for its lovely appearance.
