Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is excited to welcome a female Southern White Rhino to the park’s crash (the formal name for a group of rhinoceros). She was born on September 1, 2024, to experienced mother, Kisiri and she weighed approximately 100 pounds at the time of birth.

Mother and calf were spending time behind the scenes where keepers kept a close eye to ensure nursing and bonding were taking place. Since the pair is doing so well, they have recently been introduced onto the veldt where guests can see them on our Serengeti Safari Tour. They have joined our diverse collection of African wildlife including zebra, ostrich, giraffe and several antelope species that reside in the park’s expansive 65-acre Serengeti Plain.
