Expert insights, Tips, News + Your Feedback! Here are some of our recent musings & news: Wrapping up round one A lot to reflect on in October and then more yet to come and act upon. In just a couple days our first/the world's first Thunderbolt 5 bus-powered drive ships. Great for the handful of Thunderbolt 5 PCs in the world, and actually performance packed for Thunderbolt 3/4 Macs too so long as on the latest MacOS. It is nice to have such great backwards/forward compatibility. Will be even nicer when the Envoy Ultra can show it's stuff on those first Macs with Thunderbolt 5. So what about that? Rumors been all over the place with respect to new Macs next week. A new, smaller Mac mini with M4 seems a definite. New MacBook Pro M4 14" and 16" seem more than likely. Assuming both of these models role out, I go 50/50 that the Mac mini had Thunderbolt 5 and 100% that those MacBook Pros will have it. For all the right reasons, I am super excited to see Thunderbolt 5 on Macs - even if it's way overkill for just about everything. Always good to have more options for more performance than be constrained instead. What I am less thrilled about is what could be a real gap now with the Mac Studio and Mac Pros that are still with M2 and only 40Gb/s Thunderbolt. We'll know more next week... and maybe even be able to see what light ' At the end of the day, I do believe the gifts God endows upon us incredible gifts that we get to apply. Technology advances from our application. Our opportunities to create, produce, inspire all go hand in hand with the advancements around us. There are certainly slipper slopes to remember.
