Friends, Iâm so excited because two of my favorite Bible chicks â Christine Caine and Lisa Harper - have teamed up for their very first Christmas Bible study, The Marvel and Miracle of Advent! These two ladies know and love the Word and purse the Lord with zeal, fun, and hope and we are so pumped to get to go through this study with you as our Christmas Online Bible Study.
Before Christmas comes Advent and itâs so easy to breeze right by this timeâŚletâs not miss it this year! Advent invites us to pause and reflect, to remember, to honestly lament with God, and to reorder our hearts and thoughts. One of the things I love about Advent is that it honors the both/and for believers â the waiting, longing, and suffering along with the rejoicing in the coming of our Savior King, Jesus.
In this brand-new study from Chris and Lisa, weâre going to dig into the 400 years of silence between the Old and New Testaments, the stories of Elizabeth and Mary, the genealogy of Jesus, and the story of Anna, all in preparation and worship. Each session is taught by one of these ladies, and it feels like two friends inviting you into their homes for some cocoa and Jesus⌠does it get any better than that? Plus, itâs only four weeks â totally doable during the hustle and bustle of baking, family gatherings, Christmas shopping and everything in between. In fact, as youâll hear from Chris and Lisa, this study is the perfect opportunity to slow down and really focus on what it means for God to be âwithâ us.

He comes close. âGod doesnât say, âYou can only bring perky, happy clappy to Me.â But He says, âWhen youâre disappointed, when you donât get what you want... bring that to Me.â ~ Lisa
This message is for each and every one of us. Advent is this beautiful preparation, pre-glitter, pre-celebration pause when we can bring Him everything we are, everything we feel, everything we long for, everything weâre disappointed about, and worship Him in it with awe and wonder because He loves us, He understands us, and He is with us. Emmanuel. Emmanuel is worth the wait. This study is for: - Anyone who longs to truly worship Jesus this Christmas wholeheartedly
