I first learned about DockATot in 2016, right after the brand had come to
the US. The one singular offering - the original deluxe dock - was an
overnight success, becoming a top registry must-have within mere months.
This week we’re selling through the last few units that we had left since
discontinuing the product in 2022.
My pandemic baby was only 1 when I got my dream job here, and now she
turned 4 this past weekend. She was a DockATot baby through-and-through.
In fact, you’ve likely seen her in a lot of our photos because we always use
real families as part of our commitment to recognizing that no family looks
alike and that each of our paths to and through parenthood vary.
Much like my little “baby”, and likely your lives, so much has changed for
DockATot over these few years. After some changes to our business, our
small, women-founded-and-led team is now only 11 team members,
dispersed across multiple time zones around the world. We’ve added such
titles as Grandpa, Auntie, and soon to be mom again (not everyone knows
we’ve got an expecting team member, so let’s see if anyone actually reads
emails from marketing). We’ve introduced dozens of new products - most
recently our popular MiniMat which is now a staple in many homes across
the country.
One thing that remains the same is our steadfast commitment to you. From
providing products we hope will make your day-to-day better, to educating
on baby and product safety, to listening to & telling unique stories about
families across the world. We hope we’re offering you insights, support, and
new ways to approach your own journey through these products and our
content.
Even though there are still 35 days until the New Year, the holidays will
come and go before we know it, so I wanted to take this opportunity to say
THANK YOU. Please know how grateful we are that we get to be part of
your journey. We appreciate that you trust us to create products that
provide the backdrop for the memories you’re making as a family.
