It's the little things that make the biggest difference. We've always been fans of iterative improvements. None are too big or too small if they make a product better. Period. Case in point: Some of you told us you wished DEFY's Sternum Strap webbing didn't dangle loosely after being adjusted. That's when Lexy Sandin and Mr Lee came up with the simplest solution: Adding a 1" Triglide to help take up the slack. (Yes, I wish I had that idea :)

Most of our product improvements aren't this simple. Far from it. But we're happy to be sharing this with you for your carrying pleasure! A small batch are back in stock and ready to ship.

Load Distribution: The sternum strap helps distribute the weight of the backpack more evenly across the chest and shoulders. This can reduce strain on the shoulders and upper back.
Prevents Swaying: It helps prevent the backpack from swaying or shifting while walking or engaging in physical activities. This stabilization is particularly useful during outdoor activities like hiking or biking.
Improves Posture: By keeping the shoulder straps in place, the sternum strap encourages better posture by preventing the backpack from sliding off the shoulders.
Enhances Comfort: The strap can enhance overall comfort by reducing the pressure on specific areas of the shoulders and allowing for better weight distribution.
Secures Contents: In addition to stabilizing the backpack, the sternum strap can help keep the contents of the backpack secure, especially when moving quickly or on uneven terrain.
