Move over, grocery store green…

All too often, I’m frustrated by plain green teas. Green tea flavor can be challenging because the green color comes from chlorophyll in the tea. And that’s not a flavor everyone enjoys. Even nicely packaged grocery green teas can have very strong bitterness or pungent, earthy flavors. So if you’ve never been delighted by pure green tea, it’s not surprising.

This is why we took great pains to select an organic daily green tea that is a cut above the rest.

Bright Green is delicate, yet peppy. Unlike our blended green teas, Bright Green has supremely delicate, clear flavor. Its honeysuckle and lemon notes are subtle and uplifting. What's so great about Bright Green is that it doesn't have the deep vegetal, spinach, seaweed notes, nor the astringency that is common in green teas. Bright Green is light, lively, and has a soft citrus flavor in the finish.

Be sure to use 175 degree water. Steaming, not boiling. You will be rewarded with a beautifully gentle tea.

I love this tea on a Sunday where I can take my time and enjoy the silence.

Sublime green goodness

I'm definitely more into black tea and oolongs than green tea, and have never had that much of it. However, this one is lovely! It's not grassy or too astringent, a very smooth, subtly floral flavor profile. I drink it all on its own and it's great as is. I think it would probably be great iced in warmer weather too!

Generally not a fan of plain green teas. But this is anything but plain. So I'll rephrase... not a fan of straight green tea. Until now. Bright and shiny Sencha tea, without the fishy aftertaste of most of the greens I've tried before. Please understand, I love Big Easy, the fruityness covers the green flavor. The Bright Green Essential doesn't need to be covered up. Smooth and naturally sweet (ish), it actually tastes bright. Would definitely get this one again.

Perfect Green Tea To Start Your Green Tea Journey

As a serious tea drinker, I love a smooth green tea. There are so many folks that have been turned off by green tea stating that it tastes too 'grassy' for them. This Essentials Green Tea is PERFECT for those folks. This green tea is by no means grassy. It truly is bright in flavor as well as in a light color.

While I totally enjoy this tea in the morning with no honey, later in the day I do add a bit because that's how I like my teas. This will be one of my all day types of tea.

As a last hurrah to Summer, I made a pitcher of this iced. No surprise that this was completely refreshing! A couple of drops of honey and this will be a Summertime favorite for me. I served it to some friends at our barbecue and everyone was refilling their glass.
